I've seen that Mt. Hood is suffering from ultra-low snowpack for this time of year (something below 40% of normal). I'm thinking about doing Elbert on January 15th, and might consider doing Hood the weeekend after that or 2 weeks afterwards...?
Airfare seems pretty cheap up to Portland even at last minute because it isn't a great time of year to travel up there. Who knew?
Let me know if you're already scheduling something for Hood, or if me and a friend could work in a trip at the same time you do.
