Well, as things go I am raising money to buy a new larger pleasure boat so the Lauterbach 225 "Outlaw" is on the block. You can buy it before I paint it and pick your colors or buy it like it is now. The boat will come with all the Buick stuff I have and thats a bunch of stuff. If your serious about buying a very nice Lauterbach email me and we can chat. This is not your eBay type of Vintage Hydro and it will not be an eBay price. Pix upon request. Please, only serious inquires.

The rest you'll have to get from Nate. He did some extensive finish work on the hull and completed the hardware fitting to get back on the water.

It runs REALLY, REALLY well. I've seen it go and I have photos.........

Later.......Bob

Hello again, sort of...

November 4 2005, 6:10 PM

Hi Nate,

I am Pat O'Connor's son Tim. We purchased your jones 280 back in 1992 and eventually ran it as a 6 litre. Boy I miss racing. I drove the boat with my dad up until the crash in '96. Eventually sold it once we put it back together. ALlots happened since then but I have my eye on the vintage circuit. Can you send me some pic's of the 225? Thanks. I'll see if I can pull a few pic's together for you.

Hey Tim!

November 5 2005, 12:31 AM

Hi Tim, I remember talking to your dad after the crash. That was close. I think about that every time we race in shallow water. Detroit, San Diego to name a few. It seems there are many race sites we all run in that if we really thought about it we would not. Because of that crash rules were put in place on escape hatch sizes and thats a good thing.

I wish I still had that boat but I would have kept it with the stock cowls and ran vintage.

I will be glad to send you some pix of the boat just email me and I will get them to you. I am painting it right now for the new owner, Sonny Kyle. Below are a couple before paint. Keep in touch. Nate

Nate, What are we going to do with you? Did you have any fun watchin that lead boats rooster? What a sight! As your announcer for that one of a kind heat, I still hear spectators cheer for their local star and his little boat. (225 against a 280) Great race! I believe there were six boats in this spectacular race last June and it was a blast to watch and yell about! The sound and show you guys made was incredible! ....Have you heard comments about our Outlaws? I believe were are coming back June 10-11 are you?
