Hi I am Looking for a Vintage Hydroplane or a Jersey Skiff to restore and use in APBA Vintage events. I asttended the Vintage Regatta in Wheeling WV this Year and the Race Boat Bug Bit me. i do not want to spend a fortune initally for the boat and trailer. Any Price i would think under 10K would be ok for the boat and trailer. Thanks for taking interest in this.
mike cashin has a good one for sale. he last ran it in rocky fork oh.2006. This won't take much to put together under 10K. has role cage just unbolt and go or leave together and race. I beleive former national champ. 1734/778/1879

Complete with everything except engine cowl. Engine is seized small block Ford. On a trailer that has new bearings and good tires. Located in Port Severn, Ontario. Length sponson to transom is 16foot 10 inches. 280 class. Phone 519-539-2511 weekdays between 9 and 5 $2500.
The boat has some real nice hardware and a nice matching tandem trailer. (there is also a canopy lid not shown in pic.) If you have access to some vintage cowlings, the boat is a no brainer waiting to be someone's winter project.
Unfortunate for the A class, this boat could possibly be worth more in vintage than as a current racer, but it is a good candidate for either use.

would they be interested in selling the lid seperately. I just bought a staudacher hull for my son (same capsule) and it needs a lid.

Double check the Cell type
October 25 2006, 4:18 PM
Jon had 2 different cells....one was the barrel, which is in Mark's boat and the other came up narrower and flattened at the top.

Canopy

The clear acrylic canopy's originate from aerobatic airplane canopy's from Airplane Plastics, located in Tipp City, Ohio. If you cannot locate a used one, drop me a line and I will give you the part number to use and explain how you can build your own.
