its a pump gas motor, the guy that did the head work said based on what the heads flowed about 390 hp the guy that does these motors thinks around 350 depending on heads so i think im right about the middle of the road, with just me in my sandcar it made enough power to do 100 ft sidehill wheelies if i had a small roller to help get the front end up, however i never did put the motor on a dyno. i had the rev limit at 6500 but normally shifted at about 5500 to 6000 where the torque started to taper off some

like a dunebuggy, but a little more like a score class 1 for baja racing, it has about 23" of wheel travel on all four corners, and the trans that i run is a mendeola md4s-2d. i love the motor in the dunes, becuase of the light wieght but for hitting the whoop sections ( 2 ft tall bumps spaced about 15 ft apart) at 70 to 80 mph, the carb motors just dont work as well as the fi motors. the motor has about 20 hrs on it if that, it was put together in the summer of 06, its located in san diego

sounds good

That sounds good but I am out on the east cost but if I were to buy it maybe I could have my uncle in SD check it out. so when this motor was put together what was the intended red line. Because on a hydro there is no trany just a thrust bearing and we run off the front of the motor so we can get the weight lower in the boat. so what ever the motor turns is how fast the prop turns so how well was everything balanced before assembly.
Thanks for the info

i know that mark at d&d in michigan (the authority on these motors) said it would turn more, that a hydro was running his at 8000 all day long, he even has a few pics of the boat on his site, but duning takes torque so i put the limit at 6500, although the limiter is adjustible
feel free to call me. i have a in car video running the drags at glamis that i could email you so you can hear it run,
