I have a Stanus (Henry H Smith & Co., Detroit) 2 blade marked "SURFACER" S/N 2840 12 3/8 diameter and 17 pitch, 1 1/8 standard marine taper for sale. I have never run the blade and it looks brand new. Stannus made a lot of blades for UL etc. in the 50's and 60's. I bought it while looking for a prop for my A boat with the intention of selling it to some needy Vintage owner. Make me an offer over $300 plus postage and its yours.
Sorry for the confusion. Just replaced the battery on my vernier. I should stick to the old one which is scaled and doesn't need a type 357A battery which costs $3.75. In any case when I miked the shaft diameter on this wheel it is 1" standard marine taper. Small shaft for a big wheel but probably a whole lot more common shaft diameter.
