That is precisely why I don't like them. You never can tell when they are going to fail. If a band on my gun breaks its my own fault for not checking it.
BTW, I love shooting pneumatics. But for all the slop I dive in I just feel the sand and grit and gunk that gets into a guns internal parts chews them up. I also do a lot of scuba and my guns take a real beating in hard current, rusty wrecks and climbs up the jetties with gear and fish. I'll have to post some pivs of my JBL sawed off magnum. Its only 4 or 5 years old but it looks like it went through a meet grinder.The sucker still hits harder than any other gun.
with that said, Pneumatics are really cool and I'll probably get another one one of these days.
