This is definitely a very prestigious honor for a young Filipino celebrity to be selected as a delegate to the Harvard Project. Harvard is a very prestigious and exclusive college in Massachusetts. Alot of politicians have been educated there including the Kennedys, the Obamas, and I believe Senator Kiko Pangilinan plus the present President GMA.
Diether Ocampo is definitely doing alot of good for the country of the Philippines and very serious about his continuous goals. He is definitely going places in his life. Philippines should be very proud to have a fine young man to be sent to Harvard as a delegate for the Harvard Project! |

Diether Ocampo has done so much in helping the Filipino communities. With his very busy showbiz schedule, Diet made time for his works in charities he believed in. He is definitely an outstanding young community leader whom Kristine Hermosa should have been proud of. Instead, she sadly decided to get rid of him and started to hang around with so called Oyo Boy and other men. Such a waste of decision!!!!
Diether has moved on and continuously working on very worthwhile projects which are very dear to him. The Philippines should be proud of him to send him as one of the delegates to Harvard in Massachusetts. |

"The Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations would like to officially invite you to attend the 2009 HPAIR Harvard On-Campus Conference, to be held from February 19-22, 2009 in Cambridge, USA. HPAIR is a partnership between the students and faculty of Harvard University, offering a sustained academic program and a forum of exchange to facilitate discussion of the most important economic, political, and social issues relevant to the Asia-Pacific region.
"Past speakers at our conferences include former President of the Republic of Korea and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Kim Dae-Jung, Governor General of Australia Peter Hollingworth, Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon, Singapore President S.R. Nathan, and former President of Goldman Sachs Philip Murphy.
"Over the years, HPAIR'sinternational conferences have emerged as Harvard University's largest annual events in the Asia-Pacific region, welcoming a wide variety of distinguished speakers and future leaders. HPAIR believes that finding common ground in Asian-Pacific economic, political, and social issues is a dynamic and innovative process, which integrates ideas and actions from across Asia, and indeed the whole world.
"Only through active participation of highly-qualified delegates like you can this understanding and process be realized.
"We congratulate you on being successfully selected through a competitive process to attend this conference and hope to see you in Cambridge this February."

If you don't have anything positive nice to say everytime si Diet meron ginagawang kabutihan..just keep your mouth shut. Jealous ka lang talaga dahil hindi naabot ang naabot ni Diet...kahit kelan hindi ka na nominated or invited as isang delegate para sa Harvard Project! |

That goes for me too. We here, in this hospital are all out for diet, not because we are his fans but as a Filipino. This kind of invitation and being a delegate to Harvard is a very big accomplishments. To all who does not like Diet, it is up to you, Start see things as they are. He has done good works for the Filipino mostly the less fortunate. Let us all be proud of Diet because, he is the only Filipino actor that spend most of his time for helping people. Dont look at his negative side, lahat naman tayo mag negative side, because he has done a lot. This is not a pakulo.Good job diet and more power. May Gods blessings be yours so that you can help more of the most less fortunate. |

To Jasmne of Tracy USA--Your message is beautiful and very positive. If the Pinoy fans could see our point of view and try to understand our comments, they will see the goods Diet is doing to help in the betterment of the Pinoy people. Instead, I have never seen so much batikos sa kanya when he has not done anything evil. The critical fans have more negatives than positives and they have enough balls to criticize Diether Ocampo. What these fans need to do is to take a long hard look at themselves in the mirror, their heart, their own lives, and their own paligid! They need to start doing something positive to help Diet improve the lives of their kababayan! Surely, the government is not going to help! Once again, Jasmme of Tracy, USA your comments were very humble, sincere, and compassionate! |

Diet has leadership qualities, perseverance and sustained interest in his projects. He has focus and is humble, knows his limitations. He is also cosistent sa kanyang mga pronouncements. She needs a woman who can complement or boost his qualities.Of course i love diet and tin pa rin.Iniyakan ko sila when they separated but things seems to get clearer kung sino talaga ang para sa kanila.I hope that the issues that we have been fighting and arguing will end soon. Its so emotionally draining. |

Diether Ocampo is having the time of his life in Boston. He was invited by the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations to attend the 2009 HPAIR Harvard On-Campus Conference. HPAIR is a partnership between the students and faculty of Harvard University offering a sustained academic program and a forum of exchange to facilitate discussion of the most important economic, political, and social issues relevant to the Asia-Pacific region.
Its in line with the charitable projects Diet does for his K.I.D.S. foundation. Walking through the Harvard campus is surreal, Diet exclaims. Kung pwede lang mag-enroll dito, that would be a dream come true. I will rock Harvard. This one is for the children.
Diets boyish good looks is matched with a good heart for lil boys and girls. For him, kid stuff is a serious passion. |

To be chosen as one of the delegates from the 1,000 applicants to represent the Philippines in the Harvard Project is indeed a big honor and humanizing experience. I am glad Diet had the chance to experience Harvard because this is once in a lifetime opportunity. Harvard is one of the well known institution of higher learning and is an ivy league college. To get in this college is highly competitive and only the most elite and people from social register families can get in. Diet was very fortunate to be able to attend this most honorable event here in the US and just to experience is awesome! |

The Diettiners (no login) | Diether Ocampo and Karen Davila attend Harvard conference | February 27 2009, 1:56 AM |
Heartthrob Diether Ocampo and ABS-CBN news anchor Karen Davila were at the Harvard University over the weekend to attend the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR).
The Harvard on-campus conference was held from February 19 to 22 in Cambridge, USA.
HPAIR is a partnership between the students and faculty of Harvard University. It offers a sustained academic program and a forum of exchange to facilitate discussion of the most important economic, political, and social issues relevant to the Asia-Pacific region.
Ocampo was invited because of his work with his K.I.D.S. Foundation, a non profit group that focuses on children.
Although, I wasnt really expecting that I will be admitted kasi yong chance na makapasok ako, dahil mahirap makapasok bibihira sa mga Filipino na katulad namin, especially sa industriya nang showbiz, you wouldnt expect someone like me to be attending this kind of conference, Ocampo said.
So, for me its a big opportunity not only for myself but for the K.I.D.S. Foundation. Kasi dito lumalawak yong network namin. Marami kaming nakikilang tao na maraming ideas na naii-share sa amin, he added.
About 300 students and few exceptions - like Ocampo - were invited to attend this four-day conference at Harvard.
HPAIR's international conferences have emerged as Harvard University's largest annual events in the Asia-Pacific region, welcoming a wide variety of distinguished speakers and future leaders.
HPAIR believes that finding common ground in Asian-Pacific economic, political, and social issues is a dynamic and innovative process, which integrates ideas and actions from across Asia, and indeed the whole world.
Notable professors and speakers like Davila were asked to give presentations on issues like social policy, education, economy and energy.
Theres still 1000 delegates that didnt make it that tried to apply online. And it goes to show that those students that have made are dedicated. Theyre driven to be part of the Harvard community in some way. So, it makes me feel good to be talking to these students who are serious in being in the business of helping others, Davila said.
Four other Filipino students were chosen to be part of this event including Aleem Guiapal, who was also chosen as one of the speakers
We hope that after this conference through meeting people, after they graduate, through their workplace, they might bump into these people or they might get involve directly on some of these issues, so in some ways this is a direct training, Norman Ho, HPAI program coordinator, said.
But for Ocampo and Davila, being part of the conference has been a priceless opportunity already.

My cousin Courtney and I had the opportunity to attend the Harvard Project with my aunt. We met and talked with Diether Ocampo and he truly is a very nice young man with an excellent mind. He definitely is very talented..photographer, actor, singer, charity man for Kids Foundation, and magazine publisher! Everyone who attended the event was very impressed with Diether Ocampo. Rima Lorza is a very lucky lady indeed to have captured Diet's heart! We wish both of them the best of luck and many more to come! |
