I know this is a heated and much debated topic, but after spending an hour wading through flame-wars, I thought this would e the best place to ask since people here can give me facts and we can avoid the flames.

What are the advantages of the race frame versus the blade frame and vice versa?

Race has better eyes, more fireing modes and better trigger filters

Eblades have a nicer trigger (magnetic), u can use your current front block for the solenoid, Easy instalation ang programing from grip noa a computer

Firing Modes

Why do you need more than two firing modes? Semi or Classic is all you need. Anything else isn't legal at most fields and places to pay anyway.

Other than that, I agree with you on the differences. If someone were to develop a way to swith the break beam eye with the reflective eye, I think a lot of people would be happy.

What exactly is a trigger filter anyway?

A trigger filter prevents "bouncing" by not triggering the firing circuit for every jitter the trigger switch makes when pulled. There is not a single contact, but many made as the switch closes. This is why some switches are "debounced".

About the reflective-to-breakbeam conversion, I believe there have been daughter boards made to do this for e-blade frames, although I did not take the time to look it up.

feel

the general trigger feel is much diffrent between the 2 the race is more of a traditional switch ie angel, bushy, matrix etc
but the magno trigger of the eblade uses an opto switch which is much diffrent you really need to shoot the 2 before you decide which one is better for you personally i prefer the feel of the race
