I wouldn't have put it quite so bluntly, but yes, that's the general idea. I'm a one-man shop, and I have, in the past, given my phone number out to people. At which point I end up talking to them for two and three hours at a time. Worse, they'd call while I was in the middle of milling something- I'd have to shut the mill off, wipe the oil off my hands, answer the phone, talk for an hour, then go back to the mill and try and remember what it was I was doing at the time.
At this time, I do not, in fact, even own a telephone.
I'm sorry for the occasional problems with E-mail, but I have very odd hours- usually ten or eleven in the morning (which is, of course, two or three in the afternoon to you Lower-forty-eighters) running to around two or three or even four in the morning. That's the way I work, that's the way I like it.

Funny, I keep the same hours (I own a business that serves drunk college students at night).

Heh. I was in a pretty rotten mood that day. Does it show?
