Fastback problem?

I just got my black bodied with the mech asa. I have a quick question though...

Is the bolt supposed to be that hard to put in? There seems to be quite a bit of rubbing up agains the wall of the cocker. I have to use both hands a lots of force to get it into the body. Some delrin shaved off in the process.

Thanks

No, obviously the bolts are supposed to slide easily and smoothly. You might have to send the thing back, it's possible there's a tolerance problem, or a burr as you said.

Let me know and I can take care of it.

I got some very very fine sand paper and sanded down the burr and the bolt. The bolt now slides in easily and the burr does not remove delrin.

I will get some gas and gas it up and see how it goes tonight.

Thanks

I had the same problem as you but not as severe. When I first put the bolt in it was rather rough fitting. The machine marks on the bolt gave a rough feel when going in. The bolt was also tight to begin with. Anyways, after a few hundred cycles, the machine marks are gone and the bolt is butta smooth gliding in and out.
