Ball Bearing Backblock for fastback??

this may be old news but i was wondering if ball bearings would work on the weardown and smoothness of the block moving back and forth.

Ball bearings would imply contact. That would cause wear alone. If you set it up right, the sled really does float above the body, it doesn't touch.
