Firstly, no chemical can tighten the vagina. Vinegar and other chemicals can upset the pH and the friendly bacterial populations in the vagina, leaving it prone to infections. Douching is harmful. Don’t put chemicals in your vagina. OK? OK.
Vaginas are made of muscles, and there are some very simple and effective exercises to firm them up so that they don’t feel so loose, and so you can squeeze them to make them feel even tighter. As a bonus, the exercises can improve everything from bladder control to labour to orgasms. Please see the muscles page, or do a search for Kegel exercises.
Finally, often when people describe a vagina as tight or loose, they are referring to how easy it is to penetrate that vagina, which is really a function of how slippery it is. Slipperiness prevents chafing and injuries, so I recommend always keeping sex slippery. Muscular squeezing is a better way to increase sensation than dryness.

"My boyfriend thinks I’ve slept with someone else because my vagina doesn’t feel tight. What is going on?
Tight vaginas are usually just dry vaginas (which, incidentally, are more likely to get injured than a sufficiently lubricated vagina). It is a myth that sex stretches vaginas and makes them loose.
If you want more contact with whatever is in your vagina, learn to squeeze your vaginal muscles (see How can I tighten my vagina below)."

"I'm pretty into my vaginal muscles. When I was 16 or 17, I read a collection of Germaine Greer's early articles for various underground newspapers (The Madwoman's Underclothes, most libraries have it). I totally loved one article called Lady, Love Your Cunt, and it seriously changed my relationship with my vagina.
Part of the article went off about not wearing underwear, and part of it was about exercising vaginal muscles, both to make them strong and elastic and as a hands-free masturbation technique. This was similar to Kegel exercises, which I found out about later. I've never seen Kegel exercises given as a masturbation technique, but I have seen them described as a way to improve sex.
I've gotten pretty good at this. It is very easy and has all kinds of benefits. Also, it is probably the main way I got to be familiar with my vagina. A productive way to spend some time getting to know how the vagina works and stuff.
The idea is simply to practise clenching the vaginal muscles, without tightening muscles in the thighs, bum or stomach. These muscles usually get referred to as pubococcygeus, but I've also seen the bulbocavernosis muscle listed as the one that Kegel exercises involve.
In any case, this clenching can stimulate all kinds of nerves in the vagina, and brings direct pressure to bear on the clitoris. I have a hunch there is also an orgasm-related nerve somewhere in the lower abdomen that this presses on (I was reading a Cosmo at the supermarket that had a column about manually pushing on your stomach during sex for mind blowing orgasms etc). Either a held squeeze or a series of pulses can feel good."
So when you read accurate information like
"Firstly, no chemical can tighten the vagina. Vinegar and other chemicals can upset the pH and the friendly bacterial populations in the vagina, leaving it prone to infections. Douching is harmful. Don’t put chemicals in your vagina. OK? OK."
Now watch the scam artist return and say the herbs are natural and not chemicals. A reminder that herbs introduced into a Vagina will be harmful to the Vagina.
I'm with you on sensing this just a scam to make money from some women's insecurities about their genitals. From my sources the vagina is a muscular orafice. To tighten or tone a muscle you exercise it,the cloth may dry the vagina out or affect the sensitivity but I seriously doubt it can actualy "tighten"anything.Ladies please rember regardless of perefrences the average guy will be totaly happy with what ever you have going on down there, and be ever so honered that you have shared this very special gift with them.
From my experience I have found and now prefer women who have had children. Most of the finest sex are with women who have learned and practice their kegals. These women seem more likely to practice their "pussy push-ups". The sensation of a woman practicing her kegals while I am inside her is absolutely fantastic. So please ladies. Keep squeezing.
At the office, in your car, and during sex.

Harmful Traditional Health Practices - Including Herbs
February 24 2007, 11:20 AM
"Women dry and tighten their vaginas using cloth, cold water, soap, wool, or herbs taken by mouth, inserted into the vagina, or tied around the waist. Such practices can result in pain during sex for both men and women."
Type "Herbs to tighten Vagina" into Google and there is a long list of harmful or wortless products and not one single study that shows them to be worth using.
Ray, S. et al. Local voices: what some Harare men say about preparation for sex. Reproductive Health Matters 7:34–45 (May 1996). Available at: www.rhmjournal.org.uk/PDFs/07ray.pdf.
This article provides extensive qualitative information about Harare men's knowledge, attitudes, and practices concerning both male and female preparation for sex, and men's feelings about dry sex practices. Seventeen male factory workers provided detail about the use of herbs and aphrodisiacs in preparation for sex. Generally they see sexual lust as a natural, essential desire, and they view herbs as necessary to strengthening themselves for intercourse. The men use ground herbs mixed with food or drink, or products that are applied directly to the genitals. Men prefer a woman's vagina to be dry (perceiving it to be cleaner and healthier) and tight. Women dry and tighten their vaginas using cloth, cold water, soap, wool, or herbs taken by mouth, inserted into the vagina, or tied around the waist. Such practices can result in pain during sex for both men and women. Condoms are seen to have both positive and negative potential. These practices, as well as lines of communication about them between and among men and women must be considered within any reproductive health interventions.
