This is for those of you who've had this done, how long does it take for the swelling and tenderness to go down?

Most people and websites say the discomfort should completely go away by 2 weeks (Wikipedia, surgeon's websites, and this forum included). However, I learned the hard way that this is not always true. It 100% depends on where the doctor begins incision. The closer "in", the more painful the surgery is afterwards. I had labiaplasty last year, and I remember four EXTREMELYYY painful weeks. I was still a little sore for a several weeks after that. I am safely assuming that this was because the doctor I went to cut into very sensitive skin more inward!

All in all, it may take several weeks for the pain and discomfort to go away, but rest assured that each day, your body is healing, and soon you will feel okay. :)

Thanks, the pain is gone but the swelling is still there. It has improved since the operation though. I'm just a little impatient because I'm excited to see the final results. The sutures are becoming itchy and its driving me nuts! is this normal?

Yeah. Itching and tingling is completely normal because of histamines in your body... just don't itch or you could tear something! :)
