hybrids

the sperm and egg from a chimp and human wouldn't recognize each other. the sperm would be seen as foreign and the chimpanzee/human immune system would destroy them.
even if you tried in vitro fertilization between humans and chimps, their chromosomes wouldn't match up. The differences in DNA sequence and number of chromosomes would result in abortive cell division.

Humans cannot inter-breed with other species. So humans couldn't produce a hybrid with chimps, gorillas, australiopthecus, homo erectus, and so on. BF included.
There is varying opinion on neandertals though. Some think they were a seperate species [homo neandertalensis] incapable of producing a hybrid, others think neanderthal was the same species [homo sapiens neandertalensis] which would be capable of producing a hybrid.
