Perhaps they only respond to bf animals they know? They may not want to answer a calling, strange bf nor would a stranger call like that and risk getting in trouble? I would think that broadcasting calls from the same area may fool a bf and get a response from an acquaintence. I wonder what two of them together would think if the voice of one of them was being broadcast?
