I first met Dr. Krantz as he walked out of the woods along the banks of the Columbia River some 30 years ago. He was, of course, looking for evidence of the Sasquatch, the purported tracks of which had been found nearby. As a dedicated, courageous scientist his interest in the Sasquatch gave many the encouragement to continue the search for these creatures in the face of much skepticism. He will be profoundly missed.
