I think that it will depend on the individual Bigfoot and the circumstances in question. While I personally like to think that they tend to avoid humans or view us inquisitively from a distance, I still wonder what happens to the people who disappear while in the woods.

Up here in Oregon last year, a hiker went missing in June, and was never found. He was by all accounts an experienced day hiker, and put in at Devil's Lake, right up by Blair Lake where footprints where found in 1970. Bootprints thought to be his were sighted on the South Sister, but that was it. The wilderness rescue squad out of Portland had FLIR units looking for him in the area, along with several dozen ground searchers who followed his planned route.

I was backpacking about ten miles from Blair lake at the time of the man's disappearance, and learned of it upon my return to town. I followed the story with a special interest because of this, and it kind of spooks me not knowing what happened to the fellow. It could have been bear or cougar, but I still wonder about it, especially since I like to spend times in the woods myself.
