In the thread about sounds the subject of dogs came up. People have attempted to use trained hounds to track Sasquatch. John Green has written about this. The hounds refused to follow the scent trail.
There have been documented cases where the dogs have been terrified of Sasquatch but there have also been cases of dogs barking at Sasquatch aggressively.
Case in point last year in my study area a woman was walking her two dogs off a leash on a logging road. The dogs began barking at something off in the trees. When the woman got to the place where the dogs were barking she saw a Sasquatch standing a few yards off the road. She took her dogs and quickly returned to her vehicle to leave the area. The Sasquatch followed them a short way but made no attempt to catch them.
This report was filed with the BFRO and the woman was also interviewed via telephone by Sasquatch Northwest Team member Jesse Cantu.
There have even been reports of dogs attacking Sasquatch, only to be killed in the attempt. So I think much depends on the individual dogs personality. Some dogs will be terrified and run. Some will stand their ground and bark. Some will aggressivly attack.
