I've just finished listening to the Mon night Art Bell show in which two police officers described the bigfoot creature they encountered while armed. Prior to the sighting one had been target practicing with his newest firearm. They heard the sounds of something circling them in the brush. They both reloaded their weapons...one decided to fire warning shots over the area the unknown creature was lurking in. They ventured around a dirt mound to investigate further....where to their surprise an 8ft+ tall hairy apelike creature rose to its feet before them...it had been crouched down or low crawling previous to being discovered. Well both armed men made a hasty retreat to their vehicle, totally forgeting that they were carrying loaded guns in hand...they were so scared. When Art Bell asked why they chose not to shoot the creature they replied they simply did not think their weapons were capable of bringing the creature down. When asked further what caliber they were speaking of... one of the men replied he had in his hand...fully loaded... a brand new...DESERT EAGLE 44 MAGNUM. Now if that kind of power in a person's hand does not inspire confidence to readily extinguish any natural threat...that threat must have been absolutely and breathtakingly formidable.
