When we talk about population, we should also remember how big our country is length and width wise. I also remember reading about 119 million square miles of wilderness on this continent alone. So if there is that much room, the population has to be considerably larger than just 5000. Read some biology text books and you will see that just that few of animals over that great distance will not help ensure the species survival it will hurt it.
