Many (if not most) animals go quite when a predator is in the general vicinity...Although I say many do, some do not (for the record)...Crows, Catbirds (if You happen to have those in Your area), Blue Jays (in some instances, usually when they're nesting nearby) and some other species of Avians actually seem to start harrassing some species of predators instead of remaining quiet...Why this is I have no idea, unless mabey it's their own version of "reverse psychology", throwing the predator off by being the attacked instead of the attacker...
