You're missing my point....

Although I do agree with you regarding people making BF out to be something it's not.

My point is that there is a commonality in many reports regarding BF encounters. And that is an inexplicable onset of bad feelings, fear, and sometimes the feeling of being watched. Sometimes the reporters actually see a BF and sometimes they do not, yet they report it anyway.

You said, regarding panic attacts, "I believe this is what happens to people who experience these sensations while out looking for BF."

Most of the reporters of this sort of an experience are NOT out looking for it. Most are hikers, campers, hunters, or what have you. I know I certainly was not out looking for it. Hell, I'm not even sure whether I had a BF encounter or not. I simply had an experience that mirrors other similar reports.

These onset of feelings are an important piece of the puzzle. They are one of the most consistantly reported details in the sightings reports. To simply declare that "it's a panic attack" and ignore this aspect of the thing is, for lack of a better word, simply ignorant.

Yes, panic attacks can come on suddenly and without any particular trigger. But there are typically mental health/emotional issues at play which create the onset of panic attacks episodes. I'm willing to bet that the majority of the people (not BF researchers, mind you, the people filing sighting reports) which related the sudden fear/trepidation episodes were probably in reasonably good mental health at the time.

As for the infrasound issue.. I have no clue. No one does. I agree that people make BF out to be more than they probably are. Do they utilize infrasound? Do they exercise mind control over their unwilling victims? Are they armor plated (what was it, dermal ossicles)? Can they fly? Live on the moon and spend their summers here? Do they pay homage to their alien overlords? Cheat at cards? Shoot lasers from their eyes and make long distance phone calls and charge them to my number? Who knows?

The point is we know as much about their infrasound usage (IF any) as we do their migratory patterns, dietary habits, social behaviour, mating practices, and the meaning of their vocalizations. It's ALL speculation. Hell, you could argue that they just have really dynamic personalities.

We do know they leave tracks. Sometimes. And they smell bad. Sometimes. They walk away from people. Sometimes. People feel they're being watched or become suddenly fearful when they're around. Sometimes. They might hunt animals. They might just eat vegetation. They may or may not break trees, stack sticks, or bend saplings into bows. And sometimes people find hair of fecal material which can't be identifed.

Until one is captured, killed, drawn and quartered, dissected, signed, sealed, and delivered, autopsied and cut into wafer-thin slices we will never know.

Again, the point is, you can't simply write off one of the most consistent factors of the anecdotal reports as a simplistic conclusion.

Sorry about the length of this post, I just got back from spending 12 hours freezing my butt off trying to get some kind of return on all this audio and nightvision stuff I felt compelled to buy. No luck tonight... They weren't singing. I'm going to bed.
