I'm getting a strange feeling that "BF Season"... or rather a time during the year when BF are more active than not... is just around the corner, am I right?
BF SEASON does not mean the same thing that DEER SEASON implies.... LOL!
I had a strange encounter with a very large adult racoon two nights ago, this damn critter was stalking our outdoor cat and my husband just happened to open the front door to find the damn racoon about 10 feet away from our cat, and the cat was standing her firm ground. This racoon didn't seem overly upset at our presence, moreso it was pissed off we interupted what was to be DINNER. It slowly walked to the end of our property where the tree line starts to become dense and just sat there and stared at us. This was at 2am in the morning. My husband went and got his beebee gun and fired off a number of shots. The damn racoon didn't budge an inch. I think we could have walked up to it and it wouldn't have been scared of us. So, my husband got really pissed off at this point, because our cat was under the front porch still... he got out a 22 revolver and fired off about 5 rounds, it was only then that the racoon got up and slowly walked into the woods.
I would say that this is quite unusual for my neck of the woods, as it is very very rare to see anything other than the neighbors dogs crapping on our property or the occasion putty-tat of a domesticated variety. To have a ballsie racoon on our property was WEIRD.
I hope BF doesn't get any bright ideas from this racoon, otherwise, I might have a dead husband, cuz I seriously doubt BF would put up with my husband's rude and loud behavior at 2am with gun in hand... LOL!
We do have a mouse in the garage, wild mouse in fact, we named him MR JANGLES... LOL!
I need therapy George...
