I just finished watching it on the Discovery Channel. They went over the usual BF stuff, sightings, footprints, bla bla, then they went over the PG film. They showed all of the enhanced footage, the comparison that was done months later in the same place, and then it bagan to circle the drain.
They played some of the recording that Gimlin made about the possibility that he was duped. He didn't actually say that he thought he was, he just didn't want to sound ignorant and he mentioned that even though it was highly unlikely, it's certainly possible. The next thing they did was talk to one of those costume 'experts' that suprisingly said that 'it's obvious that it's a guy in a suite'
They then tried to recreate a sighting with a custom made suite and a novice with the same camera Patterson had. The suite was made of long red matted hair, and hard soled feet that would cause deeper impressions in the soil. Then they made the video, and said that it's an excellent recreation of a sighting, and 'convincing'.
They had just shown the PG video with a tall, bulky, black relatively short shiny-haired creature that wasn't walking upright, but leaning forward. It's knees were bent at all times, and it's back was not hunched, but leaning forward in my opinion.
This video that they made, was of some tall guy, that was stomping along the trail, as though he was angry with something, had a hunched back, like he had been sitting on his computer for 43 hours straight, and red matty hair that hid every possible curve of the body, except the hunch.
Then they capped it off by saying that even Gimlin "has serious doubts that it was real".
As the show started down the trail of debunking the whole idea that BF existed, I started getting angrier and angrier. I found myself making those sounds that Marge Simpson makes when she's irritated and angry. My wife was laughing at me because I was so irritated with it. She said, "maybe you shouldn't watch this show you've been waiting to see!?" She was right.
