Seriously though, don't you worry about what would happen to your cat if it comes back sometime when y'all aren't around to intervene?
My sister's cat back in SC got in a fight with a raccoon. He killed the raccon, but he had a big scar on his head for the rest of his days. This was a smaller raccoon than the one you describe, though.
