Its true only humans ask these questions. It doesnt mean we are more intelligent or more conscious than other animals.
Just ask yourself that question. Is it possible that animals don't ask these questions because they already know the answer, being even more conscious than humans?
It would mean that humans, through their evolution and gradual loss of instinct, also lost their instinctual self-consciousness along the way, replacing it with a more logical approach to get back to the same answers.
Just trying to see things from a different angle.
