I discussed this with a Wildlife officer here in Washington State several months ago. He was of the opinion (and I trust his judgement) that if a Sasquatch was captured, by law it would belong to the State of Washington.
Now the Federal Government may also step in and claim ownership but for a citizen like myself, there would be absolutly no chance I could establish ownership and therefore by law, could not sell the creature.
At least this is what I think from my own inquiries.
