by Richard Noll

2002 - May 11 & 12

Here is the schedule for the next Bigfoot Meeting in Oregon.
INTERNATIONAL BIGFOOT SOCIETY 10TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE. Scheduled for May 11-12, Washington County Fairgrounds, Hillsboro, Oregon (that's off Hwy 26 to the coast, and get off at exit 61 for the fairgrounds). 10AM-5PM. Open to the public, $5.00 donation. The IBS is a 501 (C) 3 Institution. There are many exhibits planned and people have been invited to show off their art or Bigfoot memorabilia. One professional artist from Seattle will have pictures for sale. There will be books and other items for sale. Fri, Sat, and Sun night there will be a no-host dinner at local restaurants (I'll be pretty busy Fri with set-up, and Sun with tear down...could use help) , and we'll try to work in some field trips.

SPEAKER SCHEDULE (subject to change without notice). In the event that speakers run overtime, I won't discourage them...the information being all-important. If necessary, we will run later than 5:00 PM, and cut the lunch break short. Ray Crowe will introduce the speakers at the podium.
-------------------
Saturday May 11th
------------------
**10:00 AM Joe Beelart and Cliff Olson. The Glenn Thomas reports. Include where the Bigfoot family ate golden mantled ground squirrels after digging pits in rocks. Both are first rate investigators with a lot of time in the field. Joe has published a fiction book. Both live near the Clackamas River drainage, where there are many sightings.
**10:30AM Regan Dickenson, of Dawson Creek, BC, Canada, tells of a BC sighting. Regan spoke at the conference last year and had some very interesting visual material. Regan does surveying, and at one time took a photo of a possible Bigfoot.
**11:00AM Gordon Strasenburgh of North Bend, OR, will discuss the Patterson/Gimlin Bigfoot sighting of Bluff Creek, California, on Oct. 20, 1967. Gordon gave an excellent talk in Bellingham last October. He will speak again Sunday afternoon at 2:00PM.
**11:30AM Thom Powell. Thom has shared many experiences with us and is an excellent speaker. He hasn't at this time decided on a topic.

**2:00PM Sue Lindley. BFRO Curator Sue recently moved to Oregon to learn about Bigfoot firsthand. As an artist, she had sculpted several Bigfoot related items. Her talk will be on the Sighting and Vocalization of a White Sasquatch.
**2:30PM Rick Noll, another BFRO Curator, Rick will tell us about the recent Waynesboro, PA track find, and display some plaster tracks made at the site by BFRO Investigators.
**3:00PM Ron Morehead and Al Berry, and two more BFRO Curators. They will talk on the Sierra Sounds, a unique tape that Al made as a newspaper reporter of Bigfoot noises in the Sierra's of California.
**3:30PM Dr. John Bindernagel, also a BFRO Curator and biologist from Vancouver Island is going to speak on what a Sasquatch/Bigfoot is.
**4:00PM Dr. William York. African adventurer and author. Studied both primates in Africa and Bigfoot in Oregon, will talk on that subject. Book "Out In The Midday Shade," is available through Safari Press.

**2:00 PM Gordon Strasenburgh. Will speak on Native American artifacts representing Sasquatch. This program was a humdinger in Bellingham last October.
**2:30 PM Ryan Layton of Utah, will tell us of Bigfoot in Utah, and what the recent Olympic visitors might have seen.
**3:00 PM Terry Reams, had an incident on I-84 that was witnessed by his family and several others as the Bigfoot crossed the busy freeway. Four of the other witnesses were police officers. We've had this report before, but for the newcomers I've asked him to repeat this important and well documented sighting.
**3:30 PM Laura Hecota. A sighting at Silver Lake, Oregon. Laura, a Klamath Indian Native American, has some good stories to relate, and we look forward to them. I'm hoping daughter Molly will come and contribute her experience also.
