Last August two of my friends and myself stayed at a campground near the now famous Skookum Meadow so we can do a little amateur BF tracking ourselves. It was at just after 2:00 AM when one of us was awaken by the eerie howling. He shook the rest of us awake. At first I heard nothing but the coyotes yaps, then they died down and then came the weird howling, which started the coyotes up again. You can read the report we gave at the BFRO web site. We are planning to go again August 2002, but this time we will do our sleeping during the day and will bring recorders.
