I'd go in a New York second!!! Before I broke my back, I used to do alot of "overland" (no trails) hiking. That was the only way to get to the kind of places my friend and I preferred to camp. It was also the only way to get to the right kind of places to release animals I had rehabbed (you have to release them as far away as possible from places they might come into contact with people, i.e. farms, campgrounds, etc.).
