There is a story of Caine and the one about Esau that comes to mind. Whether they are actually about bigfoot, Neanderthal, legends, or about hairy humans is anyone's guess but there are some interesting stories. I read once that a scapegoat was not really a goat but a similar word used for a wild hairy man of the time ( a scape "alma" or something to that effect). There have always been stories of our hairy cousins it seems.
