I certainly appreciate your thoughts in regards to what has transpired. I would like you to know that there has been much in-fighting in the past that pales any that you have seen recently, by even remote comparison! That some or all may be considered as "loonies" is just a part of one's risk when one takes up this study of cryptozoology and the subjsect of Sasquatch!
The evidence that I am investigating cannot stand on its own in the pure light of truth! I have personal thoughts on why that is that may coinside in part, with the hoax theory. The other has to do with incompetence and mis-placed motive!
Your right that neither side of the issue is clear! It likley never will be untill a full and comprehensive investigation can be made.
As to persons with evidence that would come forward at some future time being disuaded from doing so, I can only recommend to anyone who might feel that they have a valuable contribution to make, that they find a more nuetral avenue through which to present thier evidence, not one that is of questionable reputation nor character. There are plenty of such avenues available.
