John Bindernagle's book: Sasquatch: North America's Great Ape and Grover Krantz's: Big Footprints ?
I think you will find both interesting and certainly the conclusion shared by these men of science is that Sasquatch (if it truly exists) is a great ape or offshoot thereof. That makes it a primate.
Let us know what you think when you have read the books. I am curious to see if they will change your outlook. ( Another really good one is Ivan Sanderson's: Abominable Snowman).

I found all of these helpful.I think that some knowledge of physical anthropology is highly desireable when researching Sasquatch. I will be really interested in what you think.
