I'm curious as to how it would perform with/against an extreme background. The late Dr. Krantz had a thermal imager of which type I do not know, but I understand it was breadbox size and cost around $10,000. It might have been an old Marconi model...the description and price range sound right, but I'm guessing. It's my understanding that he had wanted to use it during Winter/Spring to look for any decomposing Bigfoot who might have succumbed to the elements. I'm not sure if he ever did get around to such a search...it would have been a narrow window of several weeks I believe where a decomposing body would have provided a noticeable contrast against any snow or Spring melt.
