I wrote this out in my journal so I wouldn't forget. The "vision" before I got pregnant with my son was that I came out of the shower, turned to walk into my bedroom, and "saw" a baby hiding in my bed, peeping over the covers and giggling at me. I heard him giggling, it felt so real. I was so shocked, that I closed my eyes, shook my head and when I looked again, he was gone.
Here's what happened this time...
April 20/08 -
I don't always sleep well, so sometimes I go into the guest room to toss & turn and hopefully sleep, leaving my husband in our bed. The night of this "dream", I was sleeping in the guest room, on my back, with my little dog Buddy, snuggled up on my left side.
In my dream, I woke up, laying in the guest room bed (which I was), with my little dog, Buddy, sleeping snuggled up on my left side (which he was), laying on my back (which I was). I was sure I was awake.
I can hear my 2-3 year old son out in the hallway, his little feet padding across the hall from our bedroom, where he had been sleeping next to his daddy. He is coming to look for me, wondering where I went. I smiled, thinking about my little boy. I could picture him, his little face, his pjs., the way he walks, holding onto his teddy bear, which is rather worn, but well-loved. I thought to myself, I hope he is being careful, passing the top of the stairs. I lay there waiting for him to come into the room, so I can sweep him up onto the bed and cuddle him. I can't wait to hear his giggles!
I could have sworn I was awake, I could have sworn I heard him coming, and I knew exactly who it was. It all felt so real. But that was the end of my "dream", I guess I fell asleep again, because I don't remember any more.
But I do not have a little boy, which is why it feels so strange that the dream felt so very real.
