Response to progesterone and heparin shots
The progesterone shots my husband gives me hurt less than heparin overall. I have some soreness in the cheeks but it depends on whether I sleep on the shot or
he gets me in a still tender place. Be sure to use the smaller needle to inject versus the large needle you use to withdraw the oil. You may not need progesterone shots-many use vaginal inserts. The heparin burns and I am horribly bruised but it is bearable. Doctor asked me not to use ice and even my heating pad has been put aside-not that bad for that long. It takes a while to get the heparin in. It really is not that likely you will need heparin-each person is different. My experience with miscarriage and the fact that the baby is a donor egg (my body's rejection) is what led to heparin.
