I wouldn't say it is too late for you. Give it a shot to whatever it is you need to help you feel complete.
You are an independent woman, with a good heart, with some good planning you can bring a baby into your life and make each other happy.
Sounds like you are unsure about yourself, which is totally normal due to your demanding career, about changing your life completely. With a child in your life you will need to slow down and dedicate time to him or her.
