Well, I am TOTALLY in love. Our first son was born October 2, 9:05am, 8 pounds, 20.5 inches.

We've been a bit busy, so I haven't been here in ages - sorry. Phil got home about 2 weeks before the scheduled CS, and I'd been having problems with elevated BPs. I was never really diagnosed with pre-e, but now after the fact, think that was it. My face is even much thinner, so I think I did have a bit of swelling there as well. The GD was completely under control, and the high BP was only the last 3-4 weeks, so there was no real risk to the baby. It was a bit nerve-racking, as my doc put me in the hospital after one appointment - I got out a few hours later as the BP came down. But we never knew if at the next appointment, they'd put me in and do the CS.

Anyway, it was ALL worth it. Our son is incredible, and a good baby, sleeps real well. I've had a lot of issues BFing, but ont he right track I think now. Just TIRED.

P.S. My experience both times is that the BF gets much much easier around 6 weeks. Hope it is still going well for you, its so worth it.

I'm so sorry that I haven't posted before.  My computer died and i've been trying to manage the world from an iphone--not much in the way of a computer.

Sounds like you had an "exciting" time with the high BP.  Glad that it's all over and that you've got your little man in your arms.  Take pictures daily.  He'll grow faster than you can possibly imagine.
