The race does not effect the crowds and WDW. You should have a wonderful time. If you want to take you husband someplace to dine and keep the race feeling going, I strongly recommend Race Rock on International Drive. You do not have to pay for parking like at the Nascar Cafe in City Walk. Also the food is much better. Hope you have a wonderful time!
