After about 6 different hotel reservations and an arguement with a supervisor, we ended up deciding to stay at the Swan mostly due to the great rate, but also because we liked its location and transportation options. I know we won't have Mickey soap or shampoo; I can live without it. I also know that we won't be able to charge things in the parks back to our room. AND THE WORST IS THERE ARE NO REFILLABLE MUGS!!!!
Those CRO's drive me crazy. They repeatedly told me that there was no way that I could get MKC rates for this December, even if someone with a MKC rate room cancelled. I relented and was trying to decide whether I wanted to stay at the WL or CSR (which I could get a MKC rate). Well before I could even finalize my decision, my parents and sister decided to go at the same time, called up and GOT A MKC RATE !!!!!!!! My mom immediately called and I called Disney back and I still could not get the rate for my whole trip, so I ended up having to make three different reservations(2days MKC; 3days reg rate; then 2 more days MKC, which meant I had to give three different deposits. I was livid but you know that there's nothing to do in this situation.
THat night I happened to be looking in my Entertainment book and saw that the SWAN AND DOLPHIN were listed. I called up and got a rate that was a few dollars cheaper than the MKC rate at WL, but for the whole week. Also they have already upgraded my room. We decided to stay at the Swan b/c they have queen size beds for my parents (they decided to move also).
So what I need now is reveiws and comments about the resort? Did I make the right decision?
