David, it looks like you have a good power base already. As much I hate to see high school wrestlers cut weight I understand that it’s going to happen, what you need to do is start towards the end of football season trying to slowly lose each week this way when wrestling start you have minimal weight to drop.
To get faster for football you need to work on explosive power, this can be done using plyometric type exercises. Are you familiar with this type of workout? Plyometrics are high intensity, low volume type training that enable a muscle to reach maximal force in the shortest possible time.
We have posted some articles on plyometrics and football on our site in the last 12 hours so take a look
TO answer the question on programs, this option is set up for people who are looking to have a workout trainer and coach to help them with tracking their workouts and designing them, plus help with motivation when you’re having problems with your training or sport
I was a 3 sport athlete and understand the demands of training but what is different now is I have the knowledge to help athletes train instead of listening to coaches (like mine) who only know the 5 power exercises. I’m not taking away from coaches don’t miss read that but most just want to work on the old fashion power movements.
Remember wrestling is not football and you need to train different.
How many good pushups can you complete in 2 mins if you don’t mind trying this test for me.....Have Mom or Dad or someone time you so you can push out as many as possible.
