Why developers think that the dreamcast is no longer a viable platform is beyond me. I can understand up to a point not starting new Dreamcast projects but i cant understand why they would can a project over halfway through. There are still millions of Dreamcast consoles out there... when the DC was 6 months old everyone was supporting it (with the exception of EA... no loss), now the user base is at its largest developers choose to ignore the platform?

A game can be released on the PS2 and sell 4 million copies and be deemed a succsess, yet the same game could be released on the DC and still sell the same ammount of copies - but never gets the chance.

It seems as if developers / publishers choose to turn there backs on a large part of the gaming public that have supported previous projects. Why was Soul Reaver 2 never released when i read that it was 95% complete? Didnt the first Soul Reaver sell more copies on the Dreamcast than any other platform... did Eidos and Crystal Dynamics think that the sceond chapter of the game wouldnt sell as well with an increased user base?

They would have at very least earned enough money to cover advertising /publishing/development costs... instead they lost out and had to fork out for god knows how much in development bills... why?

I guess us Dreamcast owners are just getting shit on by the gaming world. All i can say is that at the end of the day we can be loyal to a system / developer / game franchise... but we can NEVER expect them to return our loyality. I dont blame Sega for the desicion to pull the DC, but i do think that they could have treid to convince people to at least finish existing projects. I personally dont think european shores will ever see DC version of Black and White.

Anyway - i could go on all day about how pissed off i am and not even get close to making everyone understand - and all it serves to do is get us all depressed... we cant do a thing to change a desicion made by exec's in a development company... and belive me ive treid - remember my ISS petition... remember the Soul Reaver 2 petition... public opinion doesnt matter in the money market.
