The Hidden Veil

The director must chose the proper setting and characters for this film. The setting moves to many places throughout the story, which creates a powerful romantic movie. Therefore, the places must correspond to the actual visual place for the reader and audience to get the full effect of the storyline. The rooms, hotel, town, wood-path, grave site, river, cottages, eating area and stage for the veiled-lady create a mood, emotion and an element of romance. The list could go on and on with the many locations involved with Blithedale or the movie, "The Hidden Veil". The director must be consistent with the time period of the setting, because these two elements play an important role in the storyline and the characters interaction in the movie. If these elements did not match, the movie would loose the effect of a romantic element. The construction of the setting could have the movie labeled a chick-flick, or the director could show a balance between the setting and romance line to pull the male and female audience into the movie. For example "The Hidden Veil" must develop and show action flowing with the settings to achieve a unity of male and female audience members.
The right characters playing Cloverdale, Zenobia, Hollowingsworth and Priscilla are vital to the romantic storyline of the movie. I would have Mel Gibson play Cloverdale. His personality fits well with this character, because he can give a presence of authority equal to the character of Hollingsworth. This person I have chose is (Old James Bond). He has done a range of characters that demand authority, charm appeal and blend well with other main characters. He would stand out at points, but his character could blend in with the other characters at the appropriate time. Zenobia would be Michelle Pifffer. A woman of strong existence throughout the movie. A leader and a woman who would speak her mind to Hollowingsworth or any man. A tender woman with a fondness toward Priscilla. The character of Priscilla must have a shyness, but she has to be a powerful individual when called upon in the movie to equal Zenobia's character and her tradegy.
