Argument with Cooperby Astonishing to me that Cooper felt this way having just coming out of The War of 1812.I should think that the war should provide a wealth of stories and dramatic events that could inspire any writer with the talent of Cooper.If not, all he would need to do is go a little further back to The Revolutionary War in which our new nation fought against the great super power of that time, England. Secondly, I should think there would be literally thousands of anecdotes relating to the immigrants from England now having to fight against "their own" to get independence from the motherland.This may raise some of the same feelings that The Civil War did when " brother fought against brother" Goto Forum Home |
