Re: spend your cash on a digger used in a robbery instead

To describe our ground as shabby and club as naff are well wide of the mark.
The chairman has supported our club most generously over the last two seasons but, as has been explained elsewhere we are not dependent upon his cash. As we live in a democratic society he as a private citizen can choose to spend his income as he wishes.
So he spent £10,000 on a digger for fun and a bit of publicity (it worked). Certainly got postings from fans at other clubs who it seems to have "wound up". He could just have easily have spent £50,000 + on a luxury motor and no-one else would have batted an eye lid.
I think Hullablue you are still smarting from letting go of Burry and us stuffing you in the trophy.
And as for your analogy about chatting up beautiful women and taking them to bed, a happily married man wouldn't, whether he was up to the task or not.
