Can we please have lots more heated discussions please even if they are only big club small club ones
Lets have a top ten days out table mine are
1) Worcs Only takes 1 1/2 hours from Alty)at the right time of day and can be twinned with visit to cider farms, Green Dragon(?)at Bishops Frome
2) Stafford possible to get back for last orders on a mid week match and many a good boxing day/new year spent there in the past
3) Barrow excellent train journey which it is podssible to stop of in lancaster ulverston bolton preston and make loads of new friends (ish)
4) Salt diggers (cant believe i am putting them in my top five anything) Only ground ever where i had to look the score in the paper the next day, sadly dump now closed but looking forward to barge trip to get there this year
5) Droylesden we always beat them in the FA cup and get tottenham in the next round. there are always 3 times more Alty fans than slum dwellers and it is possible to get back into the better class areas of Hale for last orders.
Would have included hucknall and Alfreton but not been there yet as i only go to big games against big clubs. Runcorn not in as its no fun there now that they have moved away from the ramshackle hut on a hill ground.Gainsborough and stalybridge and runcorn not in as there respective mobs are so frightening i wouldnt dare go there.
