Content can often speak for itself, despite knowing who the author is. In many cases though, the understanding of what is said can be enhanced if we at least know what standpoint the author is coming from, such as with myself that I have freely communicated here: "potential cryonics customer". Sally expressed some POVs which of course can stand by themselves, but would be enhanced if we knew either Sally's identity or what standpoint she represents (e.g. - potential customer, seems doubtful; Alcor manager/director, very plausible; member of the Kent Insiders, possible but too many negative things said about Harris and Platt).
But, no one here, thankfully, is forced to do much of anything. I'm amazed at Charles' agreeing with Sally that content here needs to be moderated. That's not like the Charles I've seen speak elsewhere in favor of free speech. Must be another "conduit" thing from "we know who".
Cheers,
FD
