Melody, it seems to me that you are not familiar with Mike Darwin, perhaps because he only really started posting here fairly recently, and you yourself started posting on cryonics forums and got involved in cryonics after he had pretty much left cryonics. Or maybe you ARE already familiar with him. If so, I stand corrected. But it seems you are only somewhat familiar with him.

It might behoove you to do some research on mike. There is certainly a lot of cryonics-related writing out there about and by Mike Darwin. In some ways he was the central figure in cryonics until a few years ago.

Also, strangely, upon reflection, YOU, Melmax, remind me somewhat of Mike Darwin in respect to the way you are interacting with cryonics and with respect to your slant on things and what you bring to cryonics. There is both good and bad in that.

But you are a welcome addition to cryonics, even if you are not signed up, and even if sometimes you come across in ways ....um...a bit reminiscent of the way Mike Darwin used to.
