I'm going to, briefly, respond to Sally's posts, from yesterday, and then I am going to stop responding to her, for obvious reasons. Sally came to this forum, claiming to be mostly disinterested in the people here, saying she just wanted us all to know what we "look like." It seems the only person, (at the moment), who doesn't realize what they "look like," is Sally. The words "creepy," "desperate" and "stalker" come to mind. Only someone with a vested interest would go to the lengths Sally has gone to, in an attempt to discredit me. I don't think Sally spent the time it would take to dig through public records, she most likely coughed up at least twenty bucks, for the semi-accurate information she posted.
The clinic where I worked did not go out of business, they simply changed their name, sometime in recent years, I'm not sure exactly when. It was a large clinic, with four cardiovascular surgeons and eight, or ten, general surgeons, who were all partners. The cardiac surgeons, feeling like they were earning the bulk of the clinic's revenue, (they were), were threatening to break off from the clinic, even when I was still working there, which they did, sometime after I left. The cardiac surgeons still service the same two hospitals, not just the one Sally mentions. As I've written, they did approximately 600 open-heart surgeries, my last year there, which is a large number, for a small group, by anyone's standards. I encountered a wide variety of patients, and situations, over the years. I also trained in four hospitals, in Texas, including a pediatric hospital, in Dallas. I don't know why the word "vast" disturbs Sally, so much, but I would say 1,500 cases qualifies as a substantial amount of experience.
I don't know if the income and crime statistics Sally posted are accurate, (about the town I lived in, or the town I worked in), but I would say they would apply to quite a few towns in Louisiana, and the South, in general. All I know is, there were a lot of nice people there. I spent most of my time in the hospitals, where I worked with intelligent, dedicated professionals, and people weren't hesitant to chat with strangers in the supermarket, which is more than I can say about some of the ritzy areas I live near, now.
I have not been "belittling" people for being golf pros, fabricators, science fiction writers, etc. I've been criticizing specific individuals for thinking they can perform certain medical procedures, without the proper education and experience. More than that, I've been harshly criticising the people who were foolish enough, (or corrupt enough), to hire a group of people who have no medical educations or experience, and pay them significantly more than they could have paid their qualified counterparts. One of my best friends, (for the last 20 years), is a professional golf caddy, and neither one of us has ever said a bad word about the other. Of course, he's never claimed to be able to safely perform perfusion, and I freely admit I can't golf worth a damn, in spite of having lived on a golf course, for several years. (Did you find that out, in your investigation, Sally? Check Houston.) If Sally wanted to hear someone belittle, and gossip about, the SA RUPs, she should have worked there when I did. The manager would have given her the full scoop on everyone.
Sally: Now let me make sure I have this right. She has no college degree except for the BSc she got by learning one medical procedure, which involves running a pump and watching fluid flow through tubes--is that right? No other medical qualifications so far as I can tell. Correct me if I am wrong please.
Wrong. I have more than one degree and I've been trained in numerous medical procedures. Platt and Harris may be able to convince Kent that perfusion technology is nothing more than "running a pump and watching fluid flow through tubes," but not everyone is as gullible as Saul seems to be.
Sally: Now since turnabout is fair play, here's some clues about me. I have been married twice, I have a home in California, and I used to run a business selling software. Feel free to go digging.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't care who Sally is, and I have better things to do, than spy on other people. What Sally fails to realize is, she has accomplished exactly what Platt and Harris did, when they attempted to discredit me, here. Only someone who feels threatened would go to the lengths Sally has gone to, so obviously, I have hit a few nerves with the painful truth about SA and CCR. |
