I can't go into detail without risking a compromise of my anonymity, but rest assured the bulk of my assets are secure either by life insurance I already have (but have not named any cryo org yet as beneficiary) or by funds well protected against the continuing slide, for example, of the stock market (which I fully expect to see hit 10% of its highest value in the past year, just like it did in 1929).
I'll join the first cryo org that offers credible standby service.
Failing to see that happen, I may move close to whichever one looks like it provides the best cryopreservation, closer to the time I figure I will need it.
Meanwhile I see no reason to reward any current (dis)service provider with my membership.
